Reminder

Tuesday 8th is definitely the last date to return the consent forms for the FREE hearing screening for your child. Most parents have taken this opportunity to get their child’s hearing tested for free.

Home Readers will be sent home on Tuesday. Please read the information sheet to give you ideas for reading with your child. Readers will be changed over each Monday. Please fill in and sign the reading log for each book.

The Mother’s Day Stall is this Wednesday. Children bring money to purchase a gift for their Mum. Gifts range from $1-$5. Could you please send your child’s money in a zip lock bag with their name on it.  A plastic bag from home will also be needed as no bags will be provided. If you do not wish your child to purchase a gift from the stall could you please let me know to stop any confusion on the day.

The Mother’s Day liturgy is on Friday 11th May at 7.15 am followed by a free breakfast. This is a very popular event in our school calendar.

The Week that was.

The children enjoyed shopping for their Mother’s Day gifts. Many gave careful thought to their purchase.

I wish all you lovely mothers and grandmothers a wonderfully happy Mother's Day.

Mrs Gorman's not at school!

I had surgery last week. It was an unexpected, last minute, call which I took.  The recovery process is taking longer than I was initially informed, hence my absence from the classroom , and won’t return to class until later this week.

The children have been continuing their learning with Mrs Reedman during my absence.

On my return last Wednesday the children were full of concern about me and my operation. Hugs and friendly smiles were the order of the day as well as some very cute questions- ‘Would I still be able to stand on one leg?’, ‘Would I be able to still eat?’.
