Students have been given a Book Club catalogue. Should you wish to purchase any item, all orders and payment are done through the LOOP system. All orders must be finalised by the 15th March.
The Week That Was
The children are becoming much quicker at recognizing their sight words/popcorn words with our daily practice and your constant revision at home. Please keep going over the words they already know as well as the new words they are learning.
Most children can now write their names and most are able to recite their first and last names.
We have been practising breaking up words into syllables, clapping for each syllable. This is an important skill when it comes to their writing to be able to hear the different sounds in a word.
Maths: We can show a particular number in a variety of ways- as a numeral, word, tally mark, in a ten frame, using concrete materials, the number before/after
Religion: We have begun introducing the Easter story -Holy Week. Children listened, watched and role played the story of Palm Sunday.
